Houston Art Car Parade - Orange Show, Houston, TX

The parade will finish up with a huge showing of cyclists too... some on unicycles, some with decorated bikes and lots of other interesting bikes.

I saw one of the cars cruising around last night. I do like this parade. I also like the roller derby chicks!

The crowds and traffic around the Parade have been getting a bit crazy the last few years. Many events in Houston are getting "too popular", and you can't just show-up in prime-time and not expect a logistical hassle. Parking further away and biking to this event via the bayou makes a lot of sense.

This year I think a band is performing prior to the parade. Not sure thats needed, but it may be fun.
