I don't hang around people who use that word. It's just a common nickname now.

OK with me!

It might be common in some lame circles but it is not the norm for the majority.

Lame circles? It's just a nickname. Anyone who uses nicknames period is in a "lame circle."

"Houstoned" may well be a derivative of the gang's name, highlighting its drug trafficking activity.

Houstone is a prison gang,a mexican gang.It hasn't been run out of anywhere because if it was then there would be no jails or prisons in Texas.

When you see Mexicans with the Astros star tattooed on their necks, hands, arms or head. Its not for their pride in their baseball team.

Unfortunately I've heard it called both Houstone & Houstoned, and I can't help but wonder if that has anything to do with it, vice-versa, or if this is all just one big coincedence:

In several decades of living here, I've never heard that before.

Probably just a dumb thing that popped into someone's mind.

I've maybe heard the term once, never seen it on a T-shirt. <shrug> But if it's used in prisons, gangs and in Hip Hop Culture like all the above posts say, that would explain my lack of experience with the term.
