This did get me thinking about something though....back in the day, the oil execs used to take the corporate chopper and fly out to the heli-pad at Stracks BBQ for lunch. With the current margins and earnings they are enjoying, they ought to one up Metro and buy a fleet of helicopters and build "park n fly" lots around the city to get folks to work in style.

For the time being, it's almost surreal as well....the traffic is light, but the fact that there aren't continuos tire marks and chunks missing from the barrier walls, and various appliance parts, or wooden pallets to dodge, almost makes one used to logging many miles in Houston uncomfortable. I'm sure that will get corrected in short order though.
Oh it always does. Be prepared for a blown tire in the middle of the freeway soon.

Often companies will give you a moving package if your commute increases by 50 miles or more. But I dont think The Woodlands is 50 miles from downtown. Maybe from Baytown though.
