That's kind of what I was thinking. Besides, keeping the Bell building as is isn't an option. It would probably be cheaper to rip it down and build a new one than to bring it up to code.

I doubt it's that cheap to tear down. Just look at that abandoned hotel a few blocks up on Milam from the Exxon Building. Someone will buy the building and renovate it.

Didn't they do a renovation on the downtown building a few years ago? If so, wouldn't they have been required to bring all areas up to code at that time?

Well, I guess Houston can add this project to its collections of skylines and downtowns.

Default Exxon Headquarters

Does anyone know if they will be moving their Headquarters there also?

Are there any renderings of this project?

A&M, check out the Swamplot link in the first post of the thread. It does show some minor renderings.

I wish they would have a time lapse camera set up. The City Center in Vegas had one. That was an 8billion project. Very cool to see the project from dirt to opening in just a few minutes. I guess there aren't any big buildings in this area already? How about someone takes a single pic every day. Start a website. It would be cool. Here's link to City Center time lapse
