Hi guys. I need some help. Hubby and I are getting transferred to Houston next month and I have been trying to house shop online and get some houses lined up for hubby to see before he comes down next week. We're tossing around Old Katy and have found several houses we're interested in. Houses are pretty similar, 4 bed/2.5 bath..etc, but I'm more curious about the neighborhoods their in.
Can anyone tell me which you would consider more family friendly? Kids, sidewalks, parks, etc...

Lakecrest Village
Town Park
or Heritage Park West

Appreciate any help

You are really limiting yourself to about 7 houses. Go on www.har.com and look in MLS area 25.

Yeah, I've done that. We only want in the Katy High School area. Thanks. We've already narrowed down our choices, and we HAVE to make an offer on a house by Wednesday, which is why I was asking about those three certain neighborhoods only.
Thanks anyway.

Just fyi...Kids that live in Lakecrest are zoned to Morton Ranch High School not Katy. Heritage Park West goes to Katy High School.

Thank you. I've been checking and double-checking that.

Sorry. I didn't mean to confuse you. Lakecrest Village and Lakecrest Forest go to Katy HS. Lakecrest on the south side of Franz is zoned to Morton Ranch HS. Katy ISD has crazy school zone lines.

The first thing I've been checking while we were house hunting was school districts. We signed a contract on a house in Lakecrest Village on Thursday. Hope I like it. (Didn't get to see the house; hubby was down for business.)
