It is really hard to reach area. I ordered expensive MOEN faucets parts online

and got them in the mail but now I just cannot reach to unscrew the bottom of the sink. What is name of the ranch shown above. I can buy that to loosen screw.

If it is only the spayer nut holding you back, I like the idea of cutting the hose as close to the nut as you can, and then get the right size socket wrench on it, using a univeral, on the socket. If you need more leverage, use a good fitting pipe over the wrench handle...good luck.

Oh,I also agree, no sawzalls,it's asking for a trip the the ER, and definitely no HEAT from a Bernzematic, good way to sound the fire alarm.. At least with wrenches you only get sore knuckles..

If only the sprayer is holding you back, lift the sprayer up and cut the plastic line with a pair of dikes, (linemen pliers).

On the other hand. If the metal plate you're talking about is the one that acts as a retainer washer is holding you back then you will have to unscrew the nut that is behind it.

Default "stupid metal thing" = bottom bracket

I realize the OP probably has things figured out by now, but for anyone stumbling across this thread, the "stupid metal thing" in the OP's sketch is the bottom bracket which holds the faucet fixture to the underside of the sink.

To remove it simply remove the nut just below the bracket.

I used a spark plug wrench to remove it, made it wonderfully easy, but any old wrench would work if you have the room under the sink. BTW, if the nut is rusted ... use PB Blaster, the liquid magnetically clings to the nut rather than drip off.

Anyway, once the nut is off the bracket falls off and you can pop the faucet right off.

Another poster mentioned calling a plumber to replace your faucet, well, that's just plain stupid! ... unless of course you are filthy rich and have a ton of money sitting around that you don't really need. Besides, just think how much of a faucet upgrade you could do with the money saved by not using a plumber for such an easy job!

Unscrew the sprayer and remove the c-clip holding the retainer on. Pull the hose through the hole and you're off.
