High arc makes it easier to get big pots filled and moved in and out of the sink. It's my preferance. It just feels more convienent to me.

You also can get faucets that raise for large pots.I really don't like very high raised faucets for most uses because they tend to splash.

The higher ones splash, but they are great for filling pots and lots of people like the look. I didn't want one because of where my sink is located, so I compromised on a lower one with a pull out sprayer that's integrated into the faucet. It works well for me because I have lots of plants to water. Makes it easier to rinse the sink when you're cleaning it, too. My pull-out sprayer has a regular flow and a wide spray good for cleaning fruits and vegetables.

That's what my mom has, Jukes, and she loves it. I'm tall, so the high arc is appealing, but I am concerned about the splashing.

I have a high one with a pull out sprayer and I LOVE it! Great for tall pots. I don't have a double sink though, so I don't know if that makes a difference. I replaced mine with the deepest single basin I could find. How deep is your sink?
