We have vinyl flooring in the kitchen. The swiffer cleaner was being used, but I found it irritates my allergies. Some use the shark steam mop, but I read negatives about that too. Any suggestions?

I've had a Shark steam mop for about 7 months now. I LOVE it. I cannot rave about it enough. It uses no chemicals to clean, and it gets my floor cleaner than mopping. It is also less mess and faster than mopping, and no waiting for the floor to dry!

I have a Bissel steam mop and I love it, and it cleans the floors extremely well with no chemicals. The only thing I must do is wipe with a dry rag because after after 5 minutes the microfibre pad gets saturated and leaves a bit of water behind, but I don't mind because my floor space is small. I think steam mops are the best floor cleaning invention of our time!!

Ditto to above. I have had both, i prefer the bissel, it is much stronger then the shark was, handle is much better to on the shartk, it was sort of flimsy, they are both good. I would not clean my floors any other way then with a steam cleaner, does not comapre with a regular mop or what you were using, no matter which one you choose you cannot go wrong.
