I am looking on opinions of French Door Refrigerators? Does anyone own one? Are you happy with the purchase and what brand?
I have narrowed down to 2 selections but looking for additional recommendations:

I got the Whirlpool Model GZ25FSRXYY and I am absolutely impressed with it. I love the vegetabales only pantry drawer amongst the other cool features. It also got very very good reviewes.
I had a Maytag in the UK and have a LG now. The people that bought our house in the UK also bought the fridge and they are thrilled with it too. I am very pleased with the LG. I think french doors are the only way to go. We did not get the models with ice and water in the door, the ice-maker is in the freezer section and I use a Brita for whatever water needs we have, coffee etc. I don't care for water and I don't like ice so I wanted the extra room in the fridge part. Weird Brit, I know!

I have that exact fridge, too. I think I bought it at some ridiculously low sale price at Lowe's last summer. Anyway, it's a great fridge. The four-doors is the way to go if you can.
Had a GE french door in the last house, liked the concept, not the fridge, had a couple of issues. For the next purchase I did a lot of research and landed on the Samsung and was all set to buy it when I discovered we needed a counter depth fridge. Got a Samsung but a side by side instead. After the French door I didn't think I'd like it but I do, it's not your fathers side by side!
That said, if it would fit I'd go back to french door and go with the Samsung.
We bought another LG for our new house -counter depth so its a little smaller than our old one-great ice maker multiple drawers and great ice water filter system-the freezer has three drawers would have preferred just two deeper ones-we are a family of six-I read alot of reviews on the big box websites and on Amaz..
Black Friday :-) $1300 And yes there were some special during the summer as well. Good catch indeed

I have almost the exact same fridge but a few years older. Ours is going on 3-4 years old. The ice maker went out within the first 6 months and was covered under warranty. The other problem we had was that the heating element for the automatic defrost cycle went bad. It caused the main drain line for when it defrosts to freeze completely over. This caused water to accumulate in the bottom of the top fridge part that would then pool on the floor. Other than that it has been a good fridge except for us though with a family of 4 the freezer drawer is just too small. But that's just my opinion.
