I have a 2011 Honda Civic and love it dearly. I haven't had any problems with it whatsoever, so I question Consumer Reports on what they said about Honda's quality. My father drives a 2010 Honda Accord, and he also loves his car-- he hasn't had any problems with it either.
TS, congratulations! You absolutely deserve it. Don't let anybody rain on your parade.
Thank you! Yeah, CR has rated the Japanese cars lower over the past couple of years, but I think they are as good as before as far as reliability goes. I love mine.
Just to update everyone that was wondering about how much taxes would cost me... I got the taxes paid on the car and wasn't near as bad as many had said. Total taxes ended up being a little over $1700 and that included Virginia state tax I had to end up paying since I work in the state of Virginia. I had the taxes done professionally this year so I would not mess anything up. lol. Everything was done and all I had to do was send in paper work and the funds.
How did I pay the taxes? I sold my 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood I had and paid them and had $800 left over

Thanks again for all of the congrats!
And that Caddy was pretty! Someone got a good deal.
Do they still levy annual personal property taxes in VA?...
Yes, but that only applies to vehicles registered in Virginia.

Thanks! Yes a couple in Knoxville, TN that had been looking for one for a long time purchased it. They fell in love with it. I am glad it got a good home.

I was going to say that I don't know because I live in Tennessee and work in Virginia, but looks like BMWguy answered it for you. I know also in Virginia that you have to have state inspections, but not in Tennessee. Also in VA, you have to have city stickers.
I know that VA ususally ends up owing me back some $, usually around $40-50, but I haven't collected it in years. Now I ended up owing them. Too bad they didn't just knock it off of what I had let them have. lol.
