Suggestions to paint a kitchen with cherry red shaker cabinets.
The floors will have ivory travertine and granite similar to golden beech.
The appliances will be stainless steel.
I know the ceiling will be painted semigloss white.
I'm not so sure what color to paint the walls.

I was thinking of painting it all white or this color in the link, not sure what color it is, some have suggested in the link that it's hawthorne yellow by Benjamin Moore.

Start by replacing the cabinets.
Then pick colors that humans will tolerate at 6AM
on a sunny morning with a hangover

Do you really mean they are cherry red... or do you mean they are cherry wood that is a reddish stain?
There IS a difference!

Only problem in that kitchen is the floor.
Too similar tone and far too glossy.

Cool that hot kitchen down with a cool color on the walls. What direction will the light be coming from? If from the East, then don't use a yellow. If from the north, then don't use gray. Imagine how you will feel in the morning in a bright, bright room flooded with sunlight. Or if you wake up to a dim room that gets no sun.

But overall, I'd have to say, if you are using a lot of cherry (I used to have cherry cabs and I liked them a lot) cool the warm palette down. Which you have done using the travertine. Why not choose a nice neutral from the travertine to put on your walls? Honestly, I wouldn't use light yellow. And I'd choose a less harsh ceiling color too.

Great ideas silibran, keep em coming
The windows are facing west, so that is where the light is coming from.

1.What do you consider is a cool color on the walls?

2.When you say nice neutral, what do you think of the ivory palette colored wall?

3.What color do you consider less harsh for the ceiling? I was thinking the white ceiling was less harsh enough already.

Silibran,
What do you think of this color palette in this kitchen?
It looks like a light blue wall.
The cabinets are stained a warm cherry in this pic. It also has a creamy colored granite.

As stated in the first post, the kitchen will have:

1. Shaker cabinets stained cherry (Not as dark as in this pic)
2.Granite counter tops in a cream color, similar to golden beech
3.Ivory colored travertine floors
4.Stainless steel appliances

"Designer's Notes

Kitchen cabinetry doesn't have to match. A creamy white island is mixed with warm stained cherry cabinets, while the profile on the doors matches, so the kitchen feels cohesive."

Cool colors generally are green, blue and purple.
I have seen olive used well with cabinets that color.

Seems a shame to paint over the cabinets, but each to his own. Is it too dark for you?

The blue posted above is a nice wall color for those cabinets.
