I personally would rather have a large shower in the master than a shower tub combo, and I'd also prefer a large shower to a soaking tub and small shower.

definately keep the guest bath as the tub in the house, unless there is a strong desire to have another shower.
In my experience a shower only, no tub = .75 bath.

While this is true, not all areas list bathrooms this way. Technically a bath with a separate shower/tub should be listed as 1.25 baths but they never are. Around here if it is in a master bath like this it would most likely still be listed as a full bath but detailing the layout. We have a 3/4 bath in our basement and it is still listed as a full bath on our tax records.

That's how it is here too!

Although when people ask casually how many bathrooms, I just say four.
I technically have:
1 - full bath
2 - 3/4 baths
1 - half bath (powder room) which mathematically is three!
