I am a Flyers fan to be sure but I can tell you without hesitation that if they give the Caps the same amount of power plays as they did the Devils this series will be over quickly.
I have to agree. I hope we get a new set of refs for the next series.
Ouch on that NJ collapse.. looking like the San Jose of 2009?
Actually a Devils first round exit is becoming a spring tradition......they've been ousted in the first round the last 3 years after a strong regular season. Kovalchuck should be renamed Koval"choke" and Brodeur looked like he couldn't stop a beach ball.
Well my predictions sure have been bamboozled. I thought that the Devils would have done better than that "effort", to be shut out in your own building to close out a series when you're the number #2 seed certainly is troubling. I sense some heads will roll in the next few days.
Actually the Devils gave it their best effort under Lamaires defensive system but Lavioletts in your face, aggressive forecheck, pressure the puck system just overwhelmed the Devils.

It doesn't matter if the Caps don't score, 1 goal in 30 opportunities when you were the top PP team all season is crazy
Now I will give credit that Halak was a monster last night stopping 37 of 38 shots so the Habs deserved the win last night. Oh well, Caps are still ahead and will try again Monday night.

Thats true if the Caps power play continues to fizzel but common sense should dictate two things here.......with all the talent the Caps have you certainly can't count on a continued weak Caps power play and even if you weren't playing the Caps it still doesn't make any sense to take dumb penalties and give your opposition numerous power plays. The bottom line is that we can't give 7-8 power plays every game.
Nice comback by the Pens...or should I say another choke job by the Sens.
