some big games from yesterday

Detroit beat Minnesota w/ less than a minute left in the 3rd. The loss freezes the Wild @ 83 points, right now Nashville holds spot #8 with 86 points, although St. Louis is tied with them.

Florida beat Pittsburgh 4-2 to keep the Panthers playoff hopes alive for at least another day

Washington beat Atlanta 6-4 to go up 2 points over the Devils and claim the #2 spot

Chicago broke a score-less tie in OT at Columbus. The Blue Jackets do at least gain a point as they look to get into the post-season for the first time ever

San Jose helps their chance of winning the West. They split a home-home series with the Ducks

And in a meaningless game, Colorado beat Vancouver

I am pretty sure this was huge for anyone who is a fan of either the Calgary Flames or the Vancouver Canucks. This is a crushing loss for Vancouver, and the Northwest Division's fate is back in the hands of the Flames. *If* the Flames beat the Kings later today, and then beat Vancouver on Tuesday they have the division clinched. On another note, I want the Panthers to make it to the playoffs, but not at the expense of the Rangers. *Sighs* Oh well, viva la vida!

Got the game on now 0-0 with 4:54 left in the second. Sabres need some goals as they don't want this one to linger a la yesterday.

Even though their play has been erratic as of late, I think it is still noteworthy to mention that with their win over Minnesota on Sunday the Red Wings became only the third team to win 50+ games in four consecutive years.

lol, the islanders got destroyed, maybe they should move to Kansas City

Did anyone see that sweden goal on sportcenter?? It was sick!

My Blue Jackets only need 1 point to make the playoffs with three games left, if we do not make it I am burning my sweater.
