It's been a sad season, indeed.

Don't mess with Flyers fans and their iconic players:

Here's what happens when you question Philadelphia's love for Kimmo Timonen - Broad Street Hockey

Hextall punted on firing Berube today. What do you think his angle is? I initially thought his reasoning was since the team is mired in a quagmire for the next 2 years at least, there was no point in bringing in a new coach until he at least got a nucleus of players upon which to rebuild in place. BUT...Berube has not only lost the room, but his moves last season actually HARMED Steve Mason and he did nothing toward improving Courturier or Luke Schenn. Another season under Berube could wreck those aforementioned players permanently.

They need better players - and that is the job of the GM - and they will NEVER be good until MISTER Snyder is gone.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. He didn't know how to work with the talent he had, or work around the talent he didn't have.

[shallow post] It really bugged me, watching Hextall talk about firing Berube, that Hextall looked like he just rolled out of bed. He couldn't have combed his hair or changed into a nicer shirt for the cameras? [/shallow post]

I'm not a Flyers fan, but I simply can't understand what went wrong.
They have so much talent! From Giroux to Voracek to Simmonds to Schenn, just to name a few... Better luck next season (?)

Sounds eerily close to Hextall!
