Seattle will never get a hockey team - too close to Vancouver

Screw the NHL. I'm a lifelong fan/ player and I'm done supporting this garbage league. 94, 04-05, and now this? I will proudly stick with MLS as it is the only true 100 percent fan friendly pro sport left in America.

+1 me too. I like hockey but enough of this crap. They lost fans back in 04-05, got some back but it'll never be the same. Look at the demographics too, more kids are lacing up soccer shoes than hockey skates, it's cheaper to get into as a kid as well. F you NHL!
Plus, the Whitecaps (and Sounders) are more fun to watch. You get right dee-runk at games too!

Ultimately it too will get gobbled up by the big money industry..

The hockey situation is pathetic display of greed, the owners will never be happy with anything less than the players making minimum wage..

I started to follow lacrosse because of the talk in the spring of an upcoming lockout. Pretty good sport, physical and fast moving like hockey, similar penalty/power play situation.
