Easy on the silly comment. Normally your comments are cool, but this one wasn't....

buffalo pulls from canada as well, they've always played both anthems before home games even if a fellow american team is in town. But the real problem with Hamilton is Toronto more than buffalo.

teams have geographically protected areas and TO's includes that area.

buffalo is a border town and gets the CBC like Detroit and Seattle.

Jaw-dropping info I heard on the radio last Monday, wasn't aware at all
" Carey Price, the league's goaltender of the week Nov 7th-14th " 3-0-0 / 1.00 GA / .970

I don't keep track of results & rankings before Christmas since however good
they seem now they'll probably start falling behind sometime in January.

Things don't change much, do they. Boston breathin' down our necks, TO wiping the floor.
I might get a false impression 'cause I don't watch games much anymore.
The false impression of watching past years reruns, ha.

I call that one The Original 5. For New York ain't there, though not missed.
Ottawa has replaced Chicago, then again nobody needs telling me the Sens were part of the Original Original teams.

About that question the first poster asked, well I didn't give it much thought.

I only know if Québec ever get the Nordiques back my brother-in-law's gonna become unbearable.

I'd name change the following teams to something more based on the city and region that they play in:
  • Buffalo Sabres
  • Calgary Flames
  • Chicago Blackhawks
  • New York Rangers
  • Philadelphia Flyers
  • Anaheim Ducks
  • Los Angeles Kings

I like the current set-up I just wish the City of Glendale and the league will settle on July 2 when the vote happens. Many of the transplants who enjoy seeing their team face off the Yotes will suffer because now they will have to settle for sports bars to see their favorite teams.

Flyers and Rangers are too engrained to be changed.

Ducks are a cool name, not as cool when they were the MIGHTY ducks but still cool none the less.
None of the other names are too bad. it's not like the Bluejackers. Yes I get it, it's a yellowjacket but it's blue from the ice. CUTE, however it doesn't strike fear. At least Ducks have the tie in from Disney's Mighty Ducks where the ducks never stray from a fight.

The Blue Jackets name tie into Ohio's participation in the Civil War.
