Ever since I was a child, I had occasional nose bleeds. My pediatrician never seemed concerned and they would never last long at all. Over the past several years, I normally would get them in the winter months when the air was colder and drier and the electric heat would dry out the air in the house. To my amazement, this winter my nose bleeds have only recently started. Its been bleeding off and on tonight. I dont even have to touch my nose and it will start bleeding. Its ALWAYS the same nostril too.

Is this pretty normal, or should I see a doctor again over this? I am older now and I guess high blood pressure could be part of it.... what, with the stress and all.

Only you can decide about going to see a physician but for me currently i too suffer from the dry winter only it's my lips as they are cracked and bleed alot so i up the olive oil and carmex for myself.

As far as nutritionally for the capillaries that are bleeding you can add more Vitamin-C and make sure it has Rutin and hesperdin in it as they are blioflavanoids that work together with Vit-C to strengthen them so they won't keep on bleeding inside your nose.

See the doctor. He will be able to stop them and give you some relief.
Also in the winter, always use an ointment in your nose. Do not use saline lotion as it will in time not work. I have had terrible bleeds and since I began useing neosporin oitment or an antibacterial ointment from Walmarts and apply with a cottom swab, I have not had any. Believe me if you will keep your nose swabbed with ointment it will help you.

If it keeps bleeding go to the doctor. They may have to seal it shut for you. High blood pressure would add to that and other things so you shouldn't just let that go either if its in the dangerous zones. Get a full check up. It seems you haven't in awhile? Cant hurt!
