I Used To Shower Everyday But When I Went To The Salon To Get My Hair Cut They Said I Showered A Bit Too Much Because My Hair Seems To Be Really Dry Especially Since I Have Long Hair So Now I Shower Every Other Day But My Hair Gets Oily Easily So Its Very Difficult For Me ..
When I was working I would shower every day before work. I'm retired now and home most of the time. My skin and hair is getting drier with age, too. So it works fine for me to shower and wash my hair four times a week, after my workouts. If I feel that I'm getting funky, I can always take a bird bath in the sink.
I think people who don't shower at least once per day are barbaric. I take at least two showers per day, one after I work out in the morning and one just before bed. Many times I also take one right after work, not only for relaxation, but to freshen up for the evening out. IMO, nothing feels better than having squeaky clean hygiene and being well-groomed.
The number of showers a person takes depends upon age, climate, and occupation. I suspect more than one person here is exaggerating the amount of showers they do take.
If you were to start a poll asking males what size shoe they wear, I'd bet big bucks none would come in with a size smaller than 18EEE.
Five for most of the time. If it's not hot out or if I'm not particularly active or if some other things that are a little unsuitable to talk about in this thread don't come up. I'll skip a day, but only one day. If I go ANY longer than two days I become gross. But showering on Sunday and then on Tuesday has no major effect. But like I said, it does depend on weather, activity, or any health or personal issues that might come up. Then skipping a day is out of the question.
I'm pretty good with hygiene. I brush my teeth at least once a day, wear clean clothes, and if keep my house pretty clean.
I shower every day and wash my hair every other day. My hair is really long (lost a bet with hubby and had to grow it out) and takes hours to dry. Sometimes I'll shower more than once in a day, but it depends on what I've been doing. Also, it's really humid where I live and in the summertime I use antibacterial hand soap in the shower instead of body wash...body wash just doesn't feel clean enough in the summers here.
I only make my kids shower every other day. Our pediatrician suggested it because my littlest daughter was getting scaly patches behind her knees. My older daughter has an oily head, so I keep a can of dry shampoo on hand for the days in between showers. My kids change clothes a couple of times a day so they never get too smelly, their showers are mostly just a hair issue. (they change clothes after school into play clothes, and then into a clean pair of pajamas every night)
My sister doesn't shower very often at all. She doesn't think she smells, but she does. I've actually been able to diagnose a rash on her before by smelling it through several layers of clothing...which is really gross. I use her as an example for my kids, "Go take a shower! Do you want to smell like your Auntie?"
I shower and shampoo my hair every evening. Nightly ritual.
There are exceptions, more than once a day if I feel I need to,
or not every day if I happen to be too sick (usually even sick
I feel better when I'm clean though).
