BTW depending on the natural color of your hair, I would stay away from dying your hair too black because it will look too unnatural. Plus as your hair grows out, the roots will be more pronounced.
anybody got suggestions. i picked up colorsilk but don't know if I should use it
Preference by LÓreal is better quality than Colorsilk. What is your natural color?, you don't want to go too dark, as it may look too obvious- unless its for goth look-lol.

unless your hair is already black, i would not recommend this. black hair tends to look very harsh and does not compliment the skin tones at all. not a good look.
My uncle died his hair black for years....at 62 he decided to let it grow out.....at this point his hair had turned white....we called him "skunk" for about a year.....
Sorry this question just reminded me of that.
I like Natural Instints by Loreal.
my hair is almost black (naturally)....I've dyed it black before and it compliments my skin tone really well. Nice and shiney too!! Not Gothic at all.
You are just a college kid. Leave your hair alone and stop subjecting your hair follicles to the chemicals. You may have regrets later on when your hair starts thinning out...
And stop being so vain. Blacker hair is not going to help you make friends.

You are a guy? How old are you? I can tell when a man colors his hair. You have to go lighter as you get older. Otherwise, the unnatural darks looks really strange. You've got to leave some of the gray...
