After you get your hair colored, how many weeks can you go without your roots really shown through? It`s only been 2 weeks and I`ve got at least 1/2 inch showing!

It depends on how fast your hair grows. When I went from a brunette to a blonde I had to do my roots every 2 weeks.

Mine will grow out about 1/2" in a 2-wk period. Frustrating, isn't it? There are times when I wish to Hell I'd never started coloring my hair.

Do you know of anything that you can put on your roots in between coloring?

This is the reason I color my own hair.My roots show VERY fast. I try to keep some Roux Fanci-full on hand. Very messy liquid to apply but it works, and will not come off until wet. Another trick is to spray your roots a bit with product and then apply eye shadow . Not quick either, but it works in a pinch. The best is to just always keep touch up dye on hand. I like Perfect 10 , just mix up 1/3 of it, because its fast and works well.
