There's some good reloading videos on youtube. Next best thing to watching someone reload in person.

You were very lucky. Word out on the block is that a Ruger will hold together with a load that will blow a Colt or a S&W up! I own Rugers and Smiths and I can see how that could be possible. Smiths and Colts are pretty, have great triggers, feel great and are accurate. Rugers are crude and ugly but are tough as nails and about as reliable as you get. That triple lock frame is a big portion of that. My SP101 2 1/2" .357 MAG shoots great after a trigger job. It is very accurate with .38 SPL's in it!

Now days after I broke my thumb 12 years ago 44 specials look mighty fine. I see Ruger is now making a 44 special Blackhawk on the smaller 357 frame.

Either way, Ruger makes nice stuff. You can beat the crap out of a all steel and even better, all stainless steel handgun. Those SP101's and GP100's are about as rugged as a revolver comes. The Blackhawk and Redhawk are as well. It ain't the prettiest but who cares.

I carry the same. Excellent choice in ammo as well as caliber.

I only shoot 45 acp and went with the Square deal B. Can't beat Dillon's customer service or the reliability of their machines. Powder measure is dead on once you set it up.

Heck yeah, they are awesome and the best we have ever had. They aren't cheap but neither are Craftsman and Snap-on tools that come with a NO BS LIFETIME WARRANTY! You have trouble with it, it is your fault, so what, you are getting a new whatever broke!

Good choice, I carry the exact same load.

Sig P-220, a little big for a carry gun, but it works for me....
