I was on "your" forum for another reason.
I will step aside and go back to my area.
I will not do business in your town either if this is your attitude. Sad

It keeps popping up and showing as the last active thread when on the general South Carolina page. I don’t come into the Greenville thread to seek it out. I only respond to statements in the thread that I find misleading or inaccurate after the thread title grabs my attention again.

This is a thread about tourists. Tourists don’t visit one city over another because of a larger MSA, but when the MSA in relation to size is brought up, I try to make sure everyone realizes that MSA’s include the country/rural areas in each county within the MSA. While city boundaries are indeed arbitrary and fail to represent a city’s “true” size, urban areas are much less misrepresentative, and more representative than MSA’s.

Edit: I personally seldom look at the Greenville forum and only click on “Charleston is Old and Busted” from the SC forum. But, there’s no rule that says I should stay in the Charleston forum anymore than there’s a rule that says I should stay out of the Seattle forum if I want to see what’s being said there. And I’m free to comment in the Seattle forum as well.

And if traffic gets worse on I-85 than it does on I-26 between Charleston and Summerville at rush hour, I don’t see how. Going to and from Columbia Monday I was reminded of how bad it is, when I looked across the median and said, as I often do, said, “See ya. Wouldn’t wanna be ya.”

But one last thing:

No matter what people believe, want to believe, or say about the two cities, their urban areas or their MSA’s, this is the last comment I will make in this thread.

My story in this thread ends here.

If someone comes in your house and tries to give there opinion on why they believe their house is better than yours you wouldn't like it. That is sorta how this felt. It is not "my" town. Almost 1 million people live in this area, so I can't make that claim. There is someone everywhere that we aren't going to agree with. I just happen to be the one here you don't agree with. Has nothing to do with the area. I don't hate Chas. But i do feel some of the folks there that are on this forum have shown unwarranted arrogance.

And again. You don't travel 85. I'm familiar with both that you just mentioned and have done both during the rush recently. Not years ago. Current personal data. Yes 85 gets that bad or worse, even with added lanes.

If it were it would be the most populated area. That's that unwarranted arrogance I'm speaking of. You may not care, and that's your right. Or do you? What forum is this?
