2 questions for Wade Hampton in Taylors/Greer area:
Anyone know what's going in at 5318 Wade Hampton, across from Target and next to La Reata Mexican restaurant? They've been doing a ton of grading and a giant retention wall.
Also - same for 1126 W Wade Hampton between Aldi and Panera. Building is under construction. I heard that was a Chipotle...can anyone confirm?
According to and early May 2022 news article in the Greer newspaper, McCalisters Deli was the business discussed at that address.
And someone back in 2011 posted that Chipotle planned 6 locations in the area and one that was mentioned was a location on Wade Hampton.
Since they moved to the Chipotlane(drive thru) concept, maybe it is a smaller footprint but with emphasis on window pick up.
So if I read the story correctly, the owners are going to raze a strip mall with 5 retail type tenants for a car wash. It's obvious then that car washes must be very profitable.

Apparently so. That little strip of retail is only 20 yrs old or so. I remember when it was built back in the 90's. That corner is not easy to get in and out of though most times of the day. Not sure I would want to put my business there.
We need more QT’s, Dollar General’s, car washes, and self storage facilities.

All I want is a dang Walmart Neighborhood market or Walmart in the Piedmont area. Its crazy to me that they have nothing on the western side of Greenville except Powdersville and Anderson.

No idea what's going up at 1126, not sure they know. From Loopnet it states it's under construction:
