Hi everyone, I am in Simpsonville and will be here until August or September. As the time is limited, I am for the moment looking for an internship or even a volunteer work around this area. I have a work permit and a valid visa. I speak several languages(English, French, mandarin and a little bit German) and I have also some experience in Automotive industry. I do not care about the salary, but anyone knows how to find a volunteer work? I just couldn't find it in Simpsonville~~~(small city?)

Thanks in advance for your advice

You might try contacting United Way of Greenville County. They probably maintain a database of volunteer opportunities.

Try looking on Volunteer Match---> VolunteerMatch - Where Volunteering Begins or Idealist.org-----> Volunteer, work, intern, organize, hire and connect. Change the world - idealist.org both sites can be searched by location and have extensive listings....Also, the local American Red Cross might have opportunities available---> ARC Upstate
Best of luck to you!!

Check around the free clinics. They always look for volunteers. Greenville Free Medical Clinic is always looking and I believe they have a sattalite clinic in your area.

Check with Hands on Greenville, BMW Charity Pro-Am, and the REI store here in Greenville. Both offer great volunteer opportunities.

I think the Greenville Humane Society takes volunteers, I seem to remember some of my friends working there awhile back.

I have a friend who used to walk dogs (as a volunteer) at the Humane Society until she moved out of town a few months ago.
