I'm waiting to relocate to Athens Georgia once my house sells in Florida. I know what a joke - trying to sell a house in Florida. There were a fair amount of houses on the market when I first visited in August 2007. Now 6 months later some of the same houses are still on the market with a small adjustment in price. If you've lived in Athens and have some input I look forward to hearing from you. If anyone knows how to obtain real estate statistics on home sale prices, days on market, etc, that are available to the public that would be helpful too. Thanks!

there is a ton for sale in and around athens area. lots of new stuff developers cannot seem to get rid of including condos and stand alone houses. this is buyer's market. when you are able, make a low ball offer. have no sympathy for developers or anyone else. this is your chance. they certainly will have no sympathy for you. go for it!!!!
