funny you should say that, because DC was actually chosen because, at the time, it was in the middle of nowhere. prior to that it had been in philadelphia

I sure hope this will happen soon. The "east" would clearly be the dominant country, and hopefully the south would go back to being third world hell like it was before the North dominated them.

Anyone taking the bait ? hehe

I think it means Eastern, or the former Austrian Empire.

Any way, the Midwest is where the Germans are at!

In this reality Long Island is part of the ocean.

Pardon, just thought I would try for something besides "The South". Too generic. Dixieland, maybe? And the inhabitants could be called "Dixonians"LOL

Then in this reality, the Continent has been isolated and cut off!

A real answer would be that I think Long Island is too small to color correctly.

I agree. I'm from Missouri and the only place that could possibly be in the Lakeland region is parts of Northern Missouri and St. Louis. Everything else should be considered Great Plains and South. It's strange being from St. Louis, because it may be the most out of place city in the whole US. I can only think of a few cities in the US that have such a stark contrast to their state of origin. St. Louis would be a better fit in Illinois than Missouri for sure.
