I live in france and I never went to the us (I went a few times but I was to small to remember) and I love to,so for you, what is the most friendly city with stangers?
and the most friendly city living in?(for everybody, not just strangers)
I want to know cause I am in buisness school and next year I will have to spend 6 months in an other country for my "stage"(I don't know how to say it..lol,sorry),and I'd like to go to the US so..I'm kind of shy,so I don't need an unfriendly city, lol.
Same here, hey maybe that's why I'm traumatized from living around here, lol.
lol..I'm kinda traumatized to.I moved so much alreday (I'm only 18) I'm born in toronto,at 6 we moved in france, and in france we moved 4 times at 4 places very different..and I always have been shy so it was hard..and french people, well in schools aren't really friendly with new ones..lol
in buisness school it's ok cause there is people from everywhere and everybody is more mature.but I really stress for next year!!

I moved alot also, but I think I was shy to start with so that probably didn't help
I would actually say that San Antonio and San Diego would be fairly friendly, The Northeast is busy, and most people(according to the poll on rudest region which you may want to dig up) would think that the Northeast is one the worst places to go in term of politeness.
I would look more for cities with lots of French though.

May I suggest Raleigh, North Carolina? It is a friendly but busy city and not a very large one...unless you rate large by the amount of traffic at rush hour..and I always feel good visiting up there from the countryside.
Of course everyone else will have their own opinions and there are lots of friendly places in The U.S. so if you have to select one city....good luck!!!
the closest I ever got to France was Montreal, Canada.....and some of the friendliest people in North America live right there!
Good luck when you visit here and Bienvenue to you.
