Let's say you were independently wealthy and could afford five homes in the country, where would you put them? I have played this game internationally as well, but since this is a US forum, let's stick to the country. Here are mine:
1- New York
2- San Francisco
3- Austin
4- Chicago
5- Seattle
LaPush, Washington
Old Orabai, Arizona
Monument Valley, Arizona
Seattle, Washington
Zuni, New Mexico
You must really like Washington and Arizona. I guess I was going for geography on mine as well. I figure they would be good places to explore other places nearby. I guess you don't have much interest in the East.
LOL my quality of life is directly related to the low low population in an area and high high natural beauty of the land Truly if I could live in a stone hut with no people around and the red rock of the southwest I would be in ecstasy

I hear you- I think the time I spent in New Mexico and the 4 Corners Reservation has been some of the most magical of my life- but I also crave variety. I guess this whole fantasy of having 5 homes is really geared towards that.

My fave five (to paraphrase Alltel)-----money being no object:
#1: Globe, Az
#2: Mohave Valley, Az
#3: Boulder City, Nv
#4: Quartzsite, Az
#5: Clarkdale, Az
As one can tell; I strongly prefer the desert Southwest.
