If this country as a whole became undone, political, socially, economically, what states, other than maybe Texas, do you think would most likely secede?

*mods* I wasn't sure if this was the appropiate forum, but it does involve states in general....

Texas wouldn't secede. Rick Perry is only one man.

Texas secede? Go ahead, take a hike!

Highly unlikely by Vermont does have a small secesionist movement of its own.

The State of Jefferson. Southern Oregon and Northern California counties. There were pretty serious talks about doing so in the 1940's, but Pearl Harbor stopped all talk for a couple of decades. There continues to be rumblings even now. This area is pretty poor economically and feels that a lot of the wealth tied up in minerals and timber is being shipped out of the area.

That Northern Cal/Southern Oregon is def a weird place...lots of anarchist/DIY/off the grid minded folks still to this day. From Humboldt County to Eugene is all pretty weird to me.

Ha! I'm sure Texas loves you too. There is no organized movement in Texas to secede.

Any upcoming civil war in the US will not be fought over geography. It will be fought over political ideology just like they have been in many other countries.

The Right VS Left War will be very short lived. Left does not stand a chance.

Maybe an Ohio, Illinois, or a Wisconsin??? Something preferably in the middle of the country just so it would seem a little more awkward.
