But hey, it's easier to blame somebody else...isn't it?

No, I'm pretty sure it's the women. I'm a lot better looking than most of the women I approach, but I still get looked at like I just backed over her dog when I smile or say hi. Or their life revolves around their dog. Or they will outweigh you by at least 50 lbs... that is the big one.

There might be a few cute, sane, cool single ladies in this town...but you have to go through a lot of cold, stuck up fatties before you'll ever meet one (if you meet one).

To the OP, I would try Indy, Nashville, or possibly Raleigh, NC. I have lived in Indy and visited the other 2. All were great. Then I moved to Seattle and have regretted it ever since. If nothing else, know that it isn't just you. Or even just us. A LOT of single guys have noticed exactly what you have said

Why did you move there? I think you should go back to NY or NJ.

No doubt it's them.

Amazing how two people can come to completely opposite conclusions. I moved to Seattle 4 months ago and I can't believe how great it is. I am male and single too, but would not blame the women of Seattle for my bachelorhood in a city of a 1-2 million. How arrogant. And I have met quite a few friendly ladies with ease, perhaps because of what people say on the Seattle forum -- way too many computer/techie men in Seattle making it easy for those with some social skills to meet women. Did you try Meetup? If you are truly desperate to meet women, how about attending a university part-time irrespective of your age? How about getting part-time jobs in places that are social? e.g, barback or bartending? Take cooking classes or dance classes or yoga classes if you like that kind of stuff, since you will easily meet your kind of women there if you have the skills and interest in those subjects. I don't for the most part and am not desperate to hook up:-)

Infromthestorm, unless this is just a joke post, please, give us a break. Sounds to me like you will not be satisfied wherever you go. That is unfortunate. Perhaps a complete self-examination is more in order than a relocation. But I wish you no ill well. IMO, I just hope you solve some of your delusions.

Funny, I don't live there but the more I think about it the more I like Seattle. I think it's really underrated.
