We have found a couple good deals at Target and if we are there for something else we might buy bananas at Walmart. Otherwise the other 4 stores already mentioned. Kroger owns Harris Teeter now and we wonder if they will leave the Teeter format as is or come in and change it and then we have Kroger to compete with Bi-Lo.

I buy most of my groceries at Walmart. A few items I pick up at SavALot supermarket once or twice a month and I get snack cakes at an outlet store, I used to get bagels there for $1 but they haven't had them for a few months, but the snack cakes are 3 for $1 and sometimes they have really good ones like cheese danishes. A lot of my home items like cleaning products I get at Dollar Tree.

about 4 or 5, but not all in the same week, I try & hit the sales for what I need, to stock freezer so will go to whichever store has the cheapest chicken or whatever that week. I mostly buy at Grocery Outlet, which has good prices, & then for stuff they don't carry I go to Save Mart. Paper & cleaning & some food at Dollar Tree. I do to Target & if I see something I know is a good deal, I get it. Walmart is for pet food & supplies, they are the cheapest in this area for cat food, so I do look at the groceries while I am in there, but I find WM expensive on human food. Foodmaxx can have some great sales, so I get stuff there often too.

I would say the bulk of our food is from Grocery Outlet & Foodmaxx.

I go to Trader Joes for fancy stuff, but not that often.

We do our grocery shopping on Sunday's. Usually just one. There are 3 of the same store within a 30 mins drive of us but we have a favorite one. Since we get our gas from Costco most often (much cheaper than where we live) we go to Martin's on the way home. Lately though the milk we like a lot, Fairlife, sells out so quickly. If there is a huge need for it, we may have to make another stop.

In Southern Arizona:

Fry's - meats and staples
99 Only - produce and staples
Safeway - as little as possible even though it is the closest.
Winco Foods - staples and private labels
Krogers - 6-8 weeks I am in the Midwest
Aldi - bring back food from Socal and the Midwest
El Super - Mexican grocer
AZ International Marketplace - specialty produce, meats, imports

On average, I shop 45 different grocery stores in a year but eight or ten represent 80% of my purchases.

Aldi or Stop and Shop. I have a habit of wandering off also. Almost Everyone at the supermarket seems angry in these parts. Don't know why. They should hand out free beers at the entrance maybe, make shopping fun. I don't know.
