Hi, I will be working in Hagerstown and wanted to ask for advice on places to live in Frederick. Any suggestions of apartments and neighborhoods would be very helpful.
Is there any non rural places to live between Fredrick and hagerstown?

Thank you much.

Myersville, Middletown, and Boonsboro are small towns between the two that you could live in. If you go with Frederick, stay away from anything off of either side of Rt 40 and Opossumtown Pike (Country Hills, Applegate, Amber Meadows).

I will throw Smithsburg into the mix too. A small town, but with some suburban commuter based growth around it.

It depends on your definition of rural. I would say most places in b/t Frederick and Hagerstown are rural. Why not stay in Hagerstown?

I have to agree. I live in Hagerstown and work in Frederick. Frederick is quite expensive for housing compared to Hagerstown. If I were you I would just stay in Hagerstown. Everything Frederick offers and only a little further from Baltimore and DC.

Myersville is well-situated but I agree - live in Hagerstown, it may not be as fancy as Frederick but it's got a lot going for it.
