Researching this area for relocation purposes...would love to hear from those who live there. What is it like??? Safe? Great for families? Is this a growing area? I have read that some do not like this area because it is too far out in the country and lacks grocery stores, malls and activities for the kids, etc. Also curious about the Sendera Ranch neighborhood. Thank you in advance.

Alliance/Haslet is growing like crazy. You have very good builders and shoddy ones in the mix. Everything is within a 10-30 minute radius and coming closer.

For my taste Sendera Ranch is too crowded. A very big ant farm but you can still get a bargain there.

Thank you Threestep for responding! From what I am reading online it seems like the Haslet area is kind of where Keller was 10 years ago...right on the cusp of a big growth spurt...is that accurate? I've visited friends back in 2004 who lived in Keller and they say it has grown so much I won't recognize it.

I moved here last August in Haslet! Love it! They are building a walmart should be complete in October. It's about a 15 minute drive to Alliance Town Center which has plenty of shopping, restaurants, drs, stores. I live in a new neighborhood Parks at Willow Ridge..they should begin the second phase anytime now!

I live near Haslet, but in Fort Worth proper (Tehama Ridge sbdv). We really enjoy it out here. The rapid growth and new construction is refreshing for us (my wife and I are in our 20s). With that comes headaches, such as traffic, but I work from home so it's hardly a burden!

Once I-35W is opened up, this area will explode.

More questions....I looked up the zip code for Haslet - 76052. On some realestate websites that zip code is also Fort Worth??? Is this the only zip code for this town?? If we purchase a home in Haslet, who will we owe taxes, etc to? Also, I read that Haslet falls within two different counties ... Tarrant and Denton.

Zipcode for me is 76052, we have Fort Worth utilities, but physical address is for Haslet, and we pay Tarrant county, not Denton.

Sendera Ranch is in Fort Worth. It can be confusing, but you can perform a google maps search of haslet and see the city limits.

The unincorporated areas surrounding Haslet proper will be annexed by Fort Worth in the coming years.

I live in Keller not far from some of Haslet. Traffic getting there from Fort Worth or Dallas is really rough right now, especially with construction. The problem with Haslet is that there is basically nothing but housing out there so you're driving a ways just to get to a grocery store. The Alliance Town Center has a grocery store and some other shops but it's not like there is a department store or grocery store down the street. Also, not much (if any) in the way of restaurants in the area. You're driving back to Alliance Town Center to get to something.
