I am a 29 y/o female and I just got back from interviewing with a company that is based in Fort Myers. Job/company seem great, but when I went on a tour of the area with the realtor, the only neighborhood that appealed to me is Dean Park/Downtown Fort Myers. I would be looking to rent. My questions are-
1. Is Dean Park nice? Safe? I have lived in South Beach and New York, so I am looking for neighborhood with personality...
2. Any other cute/vintage areas in or around Fort Myers that I should be looking at?

I have family and friends in S. Florida and Orlando, but SW Florida is new to me and I would love advice/opinions....THANKS!

I think that is off McGregor, and if it is, you are good, Anything along McGregor is A-OK...

Not really, Chris. It is more close to downtown and Palm Beach Blvd with Second Street bordering it to the south.

Default I love living in Dean Park

As a resident of Dean Park, it is a great neighborhood. We have a wonderful, closeknit community and I think you will be very happy there. It is very quiet and as the Coordinator of the Neighborhood Watch I can tell you that there is very little crime. If you have lived in New York, as we have, I think you will feel very safe and enjoy the convenienc to downtown. Drive around the neighborhood and talk to residents. It will give you a good feel for what is great about Dean Park.
