Hi all,
I am coming to CC next month for a few days and will need transportation from the Ft. Myers Int'l Airport to my destination in sw Cape Coral. I will not be renting a car. Is Yellow Taxi a reasonably priced option, or is there something with better rates? I am considering the LeeTran, but the closest route will leave me about a mile from my endpoint. Any suggestions?

Agreed I have always had great service traveling from the airport, note there are regulated rates that have been negotated that may save you a few dollars by zone. I have used majestic with good success

Thanks Network! I decided not to use LeeTran, since I don't think walking that last mile at dusk, with a suitcase, alone, and female, is a very good idea :0

Default taxi or other transportation

We've had great luck with Ron's Transport. About $10 cheaper than the cabs, always on time, friendly personal service. I think the website is something like "ride with ron.com", for what that's worth.

No affiliation, no relation, just a happy customer! Hope this helps! -Tim

I just returned from my week in Cape Coral. I used Ron's Transport to and from the airport and was very pleased with the service. As soon as I landed, the driver was calling my cell phone to say he was waiting outside the airport! Ron (the owner) even accommodated my last-minute request to pick me up at the hospital instead of the home I was staying at. His fee is reasonable too! This is an example of small business done the right way.

Thanks for reporting back your findings. Always good to hear we helped on this board. I hope you managed to have a good time, even though it sounds like it may not have been under as happy of circumstances as one would like.
