I have always flown into FM airport on my trips to FMB. Found a non-stop flight from my area into Punta Gorda that is considerably cheaper, even with car rental. Anyone care to share pros/cons? Thanks!

It's a very small airport, no frills or thrills, but a great way to save a few bucks.

We like it. Easy on and off. Downside is that the airlines that fly into pg don't have other flights so if you get a delay, they can't put you on another light or another airline. If you must be somewhere on time, not a good choice. But if you can handle a possible delay, its great.

I loved flying in and out of that airport. I would love to see a flight added to Massachusetts.

I fly from Indiana to Punta Gorda a lot and prefer it over flying into Ft. Myers. Definitely the way to go!

Thanks. Can you rent a car from that airport? Is it any problem to drive to FMB from that airport? I appreciate your posts!

Yes, avid, hertz, budget, enterprise are there. No problem getting to fmb. Little confusing leaving airport as they don't have good signs, so have a map or printed directions when you leave.

from the PG airport, you can either jump onto 75 south to FM or take 41. Both are close and pretty easy to get to.
