Although I try to avoid ordering pizza (I'm not just going to have a slice or two) right now as far as chains I like Roundtable, especially the milano roastrano. But I dont think they're offering that pizza anymore. I used to like pizza hut-probably ordered it too much back in the day. Straw Hat isnt bad. Again I dont really order that much pizza, so there is probably some great pies locally that I havent tried. If anyone knows of any great chain and non-chain pizza places in the southbay (san francisco area) do chime in.

Best chain IMO is California Pizza Kitchen. For local chains, Peace A Pizza is almost unbeatable. My favorites are Marra's in South Philly and Brooklyn Boys in Boca Raton. Mack and Manco is good too, but I think it's a little bit overrated.

Best pizza in NY was New Park in Howard Beach for a regular pie, and L&B Spumoni Gardens in Brooklyn for Sicilian.

My favorites in Vegas were Broadway Pizza on Charleston (great garlic knots, too) or Red Brick (which is a chain).

Don't have any true favorites here in Florida yet, I'll have to work on that.

It's really a cross between Costco and Little Caesar's.

For thick crust, it's Glass Nickel all the way. Their Feta-Licious is to die for, their Mediterranean is heavenly, and their garlic bread is powerful and pungent, just as it should be.

If I'm in the mood for a thinner crust, then we head for the Roman Candle. Wonderful, wonderful pies, with a thin crispy crust that still has a good chewiness to it... really good stuff. Their Pestoral is excellent, as is their Professional, and while they don't have a lot of variety in their soup selections, what they do make is very, very good.

I don't eat at chain restaurants. I've worked at several of them in my (much) younger years, and after that experience, their products hold absolutely no fascination for me whatsoever.

I like Papa John's for its thin crust. When I was a kid thinner crusts seemed more common, at least that's my perception. Now almost all "default" crusts are way too thick for me. It seems like just a load of carbs to clog yourself with. (ugh)

I like Pizza Hut. Their pizza's are really big and full with toppings.
And I'm addicted to their Tuscani pastas now
