30 minutes or so from home, decided we were going to do dinner out and our previously planned dinner will be on Sunday. Glory Days 1/2 ribs with grilled shrimp, Cole Slaw, and corn muffin. 1/2 and 1/2 ice tea. Maybe it was all unsweetened? Have enough leftovers for another meal sometime next week.

Roasted chicken tonight with white rice, gravy from pan drippin's, corn niblets and a homemade apple crisp from the last of last year's (frozen) apples. My wife takes a couple bushels worth mix of 3 different apples from a local orchard. We run 'em through a peeler/spiral slicer/corer machine, add some sugar & cinnamon then vacuum seal a 2 cup portion for the coming year. Turns out 2 cups is enough for the two of us in a crisp, cobbler or pie. She won't make turnovers tho, too much work.
No complaints from me.

Heading out shortly to purchase a rotisserie chicken at Fresh Market -- on Sunday they have a $14.99 deal -- a whole chicken, 2 one lb sides (I usually get broccoli cranberry slaw and a pear/kale salad) and 6 very good corn muffins. Their chickens are really delicious -- very fresh and cooked perfectly.
