Kinda scrounging as no trip to store planned for a bit.

Some sort of ground beef "stroganoff" with carrots, onions, peas, mushrooms over noodles. Seared and braised cabbage wedges with pan sauce.

Spaghetti Bolognese. I am defrosting a pack of sauce I made last year when I had a glut of home grown tomatoes, so will add that to some ground beef. And more fresh garlic

Tonight oat, carrot and Canadian cheddar cheese patties served with a tomato/onion/curly parsley salad. To drink lemon water. For dessert 1/2 a red grapefruit

250 gram large steel oats
200 gram cheese of your choice ( I used old cheddar cheese)
250 ml milk
1 fine diced onion
1 grated carrot
2 eggs
salt/black pepper
paprika
olive oil/vegetable for frying

Cut onion finely and mix with the other ingredients. Season to taste with salt, pepper and paprika powder. Let the mixture sit in fridge for about 30 minutes.
Shape to patties and slowly fry them in a little oil in a pan.

* I once in a while change the spices in this recipe to Italian or Indian flavors.Very tasty and a great picnic snack cold!
