Greetings from my kitchen one of my favorite places to be.The sun is shining,rather chili outside and leftover snow is slowly melting,each day a bit less and the first signs of spring appear.Music is playing in the house and life is good!

Two loaves of bread (added caraway,fennel and coriander) are in the oven.On the stove a big pot of root vegetable soup is simmering,while a pot of pink and yellow lentil soup/masoor & chana dal is almost ready.Chapati/roti dough with ajwain/carom seeds is prepared and in the fridge.I am also thinking to bake either a marble cake or a Westphalian apple cake https://shezbakinmecrazy.wordpress.com/2013/12/01/481/.Probably end up baking both.

Last night I was pooped, so just made some fried eggs and sauteed spinach for dinner with toast.

Tonight will be mustard & herb roasted chicken thighs, cauliflower mash and peas with butter and mint.

My plan is farro risotto topped with veggies in black truffle sauce (TJs) and goat cheese.



As today is 67 and sunny, with snow and rain forecasted for the next week I may get too side tracked on finishing up the parts of the garden I have torn up.

I’m going to have to try the beer battered cod - we are overdue for a trip to Costco.

Tonight, we are having charcoal grilled chicken thighs, clapshot, and some leftover green veggies (green beans and asparagus I think).
