I just called Olive elston. She was on her way out to the market but assured me she'd check in asap! That's the trouble with the time difference between the west coast and east coast! They're just getting up and movin' and we're getting ready to settle in for the night!
I just copied youir recipe Kelsie for the Jack Daniels Sauce. My hubby has tried so many different recipes and none have turned out any good. I feel good about yours--tried and true! He said he wants to try it soon. Will let you know how it turns out and thanks!!
Thanks Cyn.....I went ahead and seasoned it as I thought best....added bay and cumin and chili powder and salt and pepper and a little cinnamon and ginger and oregano....it is smelling wondrful.....we will see if it gets done in time for supper.....if not...will have to think of something else fast I know I can't rush it.
Please don't put any pressure on Olive to get in touch! I am doing fine here. ......what I am doing is smelling wonderful and I just checked the meat and it is very very tender......later I will pull it out and shred it and then put the shredded meat into the oven to caramalize a little before we put it in the tortillas ( I am using flour tortillas).....it is smelling wonderful.
I also copied the Jack Daniels sauce recipe and plan to try it soon.....Kelsie other than cheeseburgers.....what else have you used it on?

burdell I so miss the Garden States tomatoes. I have been having our garden tomatoes everyday with s/p and mayo on Panelle, gosh is that good.
I think locally grown is the key, no matter where that may be, there just doesn't seem to be tomato varieties that travel well.
Some may talk of looking forward to Fall, I intend to enjoy Summer and its fruits just as long as I can, Fall will let me know when it's time to switch.
Grilled chhicken salad with a light vinegarette. Very good. With black coffee to follow. Am now pleasantly full.
