You've had me thinking about peaches all day

I think as soon as there's some good, fragrant local ones available here I'm gonna grill some and then slice them into a simple syrup with a little lemon juice and either cinnamon/nutmeg or fresh mint and use them to make a peach shortcake. I see a splash of brandy in the whipped cream's future here

Tonight we are having pizza, spent the day doing chores around the house, no one feels like cooking. Have a Happy Sat. night.

Me too! I'm just not a big fan of the peaches that come to the market hard as a rock and often seem to go from there to over the hill without ever developing that wonderful aroma of summer, I'm gonna have to wait for the local crop

So tonight I'll have to make do with baked ziti from one of the little Italian specialty shops that are common in NNJ. A little red wine, lemon pie for dessert, NHRA and NASCAR on TV, I'll just have to muddle my way thru

I am sooooooo gonna make both of these! I am such a whackadoo, I have a bowl of peaches sitting here beside me, I just have to take a big old sniff of them once in while, nothing smells better! They had the first candy corn at the produce stand too, and Vidalia onions, so I scarfed all that up, as well.
