Can I come over for dinner? I could eat rigatoni every night! Don't have much use for spaghetti or linguine if I can avoid it! Ooh, homemade bread too?

Welcome back, Elston! Hope life in Maine is treating you good!

Cyn, hope you're having a great time with the family in CA!

Tonight we're having grilled rib steaks, baked potatoes, salad and biscuits (Pillsbury - easy).

Strawberries with whipped cream again for dessert.

I have got to stop eating like this. I'm beginning to sit on it.

So it might be June before I can start cooking again, but when I do - Katy, bar the door!!!!

RCG - Calabash is a WONDERFUL place to go for seafood. I haven't been in many, many years but I remember that the food was 'out of this world'!!

I haven't totally decided on my menu for tonight, but it looks like it might be steak with a yummy salad!! We'll see how the day goes!!
Our kitchen is brand new and had lovely birch cabinets, granite counters--but no appliances so we bought really beautiful Jen Air appliances in stainless. the fridge has double doors with the freezer on the bottom--the design is really clean and modern. Lighting and storage galore!

Left over pot roast tonight with rice and fresh broccoli, and to fill in some linguica sausage. Simple but should be good.

Evening all, hope everyone's weekend was wonderful. Welcome back Elston, I am so jealous of your new kitchen.

Yesterday we had hot dogs on the grill with baked beans and corn. Tonight we had a turkey breast with mashed potatoes, peas, and stuffing. I made a homemade strawberry pie for dessert, yummy to say the least.

Tommorrow night will be leftover turkey, with a salad and baked potatoes.

I took out a large pork loin roast for tomorrow night, might have family over for supper. For tonight, it is still early so will have to decide later in the day, perhaps hamburgers, although I dont have a grill yet--I do have a convection oven, can you convection broil?? I best get out the guide that came with the range but the thought of hamburg grease splattering the new oven gives me pause! lol (like covering the new sofa with plastic because its too new to use.)

The chicken and dumplings sound delicious LaceyEx. I have never made them and do enjoy them. Do you do them on top of the stove (dutch oven) or in a casserole in the oven?
