I just got a new formula for coleslaw. If it works I'll post it. If not... Silence....

Just returned from voting. Walked right in took a ballot and did my thing and walked out. No waiting as I was the only one there. Must be living right today. Well maybe just good timing now that I think about it.....

I can only say I have a bunch of sets of not only car keys but house keys as well. Yep, I've been locked out of so many cars and houses I won't take a chance. I have hide-a keys just about everywhere plus most of my relatives and neighbors have them too! I guess it's obvious I have a big problem with keys and locks!

I have found the perfect solution as to how to never get locked out. Never go outside. As long as I'm in the house I'm OK. Otherwise I wish the pizza joint was closer.....

Hope it's good. I'm always looking for the perfect formula for the simple things.

Tonight its crock pot (in case I had to wait at the polls, which I didn't) pot roast, potaotes, carrots. Some kind of dessert, which I still need to go create.

At least y'all didn't lock your own baby in the car like I did.

I locked myself out of my car some years back while out of town in a medium size city. You would be surprised at the offers of getting my car unlocked from non locksmiths.. Everyone wanted to charge me an arm and a leg too. The Salvation Army bell ringer happened by and helped and after some fiddling with a coat hanger he got me back on the road. He was paid. The others had pro tools for what reason I can only guess. I just bet it had nothing to do with them getting locked out while shopping for dinner?? Ya reckon? Quite and eye opener. Time to take the steak out for them tacos. I'm getting antsy with hunger...My tummy doesn't have a watch to set back...

Listened to the radio coming back from the store, to stories of people waiting in 7 hour lines to vote! And they still are out there, waiting in line. It's a special one alright!

I'm cooking Thai red curry chicken tonight, got my special herbs and spices all in a row!

Love Whole Foods for their self-serve herbs n spices - a bag of dried thyme cost me 9 cents! Would've been $2.50 for a branded plastic pot. In fact, my 12 or so little bags of various herbs and spices came to about $11, what a bargain. Got some Garam Masala too, for an Indian curry later in the week

Happy evening to all

Geez...I am the queen of doing ditzy things! I once was "stuck" at our house all day because I thought my car wouldn't start. (I swear it wouldn't -- tried like 5 times). BF comes home and it starts right up and I get red in the face. In high school, I couldn't get the keys out of the ignition and started panicking. This is pre-cell phones, of course, so I go inside my school and call my dad from the office. He says do the usual jiggle the wheel stuff, blah blah blah. I tried and still couldn't get it out. Finally got a teacher or coach or someone and turns out.......I left my car in drive and that's why I couldn't get the keys out. Sigh.

I could go on and on......I definitely have "book smarts" but lack sometimes in the common sense!!

Back to food......can't wait to go home, take the dog for a walk, pick up some yummy wine and make some shrimp and watch the results roll in...........

With seven hour lines dinner out to be included. Any worse and maybe a RSVP would be the way to go. Better than setting up port-a-potties along the lines... I still need some ideas for what to fix with me steak tacos. Voting must have numbed the culinary senses today.
