That would be me. I drink Mt. Dew( love the DEW) as my water and have done so for 30 years. For 10 years before that, I drank RC, root beer or orange soda. We would go to the grocery store at lunch and buy a 1/2 gallon (before manufacturers switched to liters), of cheap soda and guzzle it. When I became an adult, I made the switch to the DEW and haven't looked back. And contrary to what most people on here think, soda does not cause diabetes. If it did, I would be one of the first to have it and I don't.

I stopped drinking regular soda years ago and switched to diet. Then I gradually started to decrease all my soda consumption, with the exception of having a few diet sodas for the caffeine. I finally gave up soda for good. The problem I had with diet soda is that it would increase my appetite and I'd end up eating more, which I heard is an effect of artificial sweeteners in all foods/drinks. I find flavored seltzer water a good alternative if I'm craving something carbonated or other than water.

Those artificial sweeteners and just not good for us. Most of them are like aspertane and can be a trigger for migrains. There is an area of Appalacia where there are many people that are addicted to Mountain Dew. Most of them don't have their teeth anymore.

My soda of choice is regular Pepsi. I have maybe one a week. It goes good with pizza.

the no 1 beverage consumed is???....water ..amazing,,,if you asked that 30 yrs ago,,people would say you are nuts,, (to be buying water)
people buy water because its displacement choice- its better for you than a regular soda..

I use to drink regular pepsi alot when younger,,then switched to diet pepsi 15 yrs ago,,,then pretty much stopped about 5 yrs ago..now, try to drink water

I used to love Pepsi but I gradually stopped drinking all soda a few years ago. Now when I taste it I find it too sweet and the consistency is syrupy to me.

I stopped drinking soda in December and replaced it with water. I feel better. I used to drink 3 cans of diet Pepsi with dinner and 2 other cans at lunch.

I love Perrier, San Pellegrino and some sparkling waters flavored with essential oils. I usually drink one of those a day and the rest of the time I drink plain cold water, no ice.

I don't drink soda, except for in rare occasions and when I do my choice would be tonic water or bitter lemon.

I love my soda stream. I make my own flavoring too. Occasionally home made syrup or iced tea spritzers.

I drink soda maybe a couple times a week, and then it's usually just a few sips. Guzzling soda all day is terrible for you. I can't imagine why anyone would do that.
