- why was Mexican (one of the most popular "ethnic" foods) omitted
- likewise for Indian and Japanese (edit: I see this was acknowledged)
- what is "French food"
- why are Thai/Korean/Vietnamese all lumped together
- likewise for Russian/Ukrainian/Polish
I love all sorts of ethnic food. I grew up on a heavy diet of Southern Italian/Sicilian and German food so I can eat that stuff everyday.
I also developed a preference for Asian cuisine--Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean, Loas etc., as well as Turkish, French, Mexican, and Greek.
Thankfully, it's actually not. It is in fact, good ol' 'merican cuisine. Unless they've added sauced kanga with witchety grub marinade recently?
I grew up with lots of Polish and Russian comfort food. (Vodka is a food group, no?) Pierogies are still a firm favorite.
Mexican food here in Oz was just fine until we went to the U.S and Mexico and found out what it's supposed to taste like. I cannot get back there quick enough. Just can't enjoy it here like I used to. Black beans are hard to come by.
I don't know if Cajun and Creole food is considered ethnic, but if it is, that's my no.1 choice.
Who was the one other vote for Russian/Ukranian/Polish (which are nothing alike)?
Russkie here so that gets my vote. French would come in next. Am also a huge fan of Indian and Cuban. But I'm certainly no snob, I do enjoy it all.
I'm also Russkiy and I disagree that they are nothing alike. Many dishes are similar. All of them eat their pelmeni, borshi, blintzes and etc...So therefore, I put them together.

?
Amateur. Yer probably skinny.
Mexican was acknowledged too by the way. Maybe if you learn to read, you can see it too.
French do have their own cuisine and you obviously know very little about Russian/Ukranian and Polish.
