I have employment secured, and am moving to Florida. I am able to live anywhere I want in the state, but should be somewhat central as I may have to drive to the states above on occasion for business. Im a single guy and am looking for an area that has a lot of 20s / 30s females. Im thinking maybe Tampa (although I know nothing about the demographics of the city) as it seems like a big city and is close to water. I know Miami is probably what a lot are going to suggest, but its a little too far south. What other areas would you recommend? I also have a big dog, so outdoor activity is a plus. Thanks.

As young person you will want to stay closer to the larger cities, just for the fact you will have many more things that you will want than if you lived in a smaller town. So if South Florida is to far, Orlando, Tampa and Jacksonville are good places to look into. Jacksonville is going to have a more Southern vibe and much smaller than Orlando and Tampa. And Tampa will have probably the most cosmopolitan feel of the three.

20s / 30s females? South Beach...period. But you won't want to drive to the other states too often (unless you have a Hemi...lol)

I am 23 years old and I have lived here my entire life... In Florida That is.

From someone who has extensively traveled and has a feel for the state I would suggest, Tampa/Sarasota, or Orlando.

Both are big cities, have plenty of things to do, lots of night life, and babes galore!

Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, Miami.

Jacksonville has all the requirements you listed and is a very "young" city from a demographic standpoint, but it's also a very casual, laid-back southern city. It has some things in common with Tampa, but is nothing like Orlando or Miami. Jax is an outdoorsy city though. We have thee ocean, the river and the intracoastal, tons of protected land...it's nice here .
