Yeah I know she doesnt have a chance at governor, she runs for pretty much every position local and state. Her campaign signs are pretty much a ad for Cigna. "Vote Dr Usha Jain - Accepts Cigna" hahaha she is awful

How he won re-election boggles my mind.
That's easy! People saw an (r) next to his name and checked it off. He was rewarded for doing nothing. Expect him to continue to do nothing.

Florida democrats are fine. They have a lack of income tax and right to work laws to keep their lingual liberality in check

FL gun laws aren't awful, at least compared to DC, Chicago, cali, etc. Again, FL is a moderate state, which many of us like

Fl gun laws are not terrible, but they're not super gun friendly, especially the carry laws. When compared to states like Mississippi, Missouri, Kansas, Idaho, Arizona, West Virginia. Florida is way behind on these states. Like what I can do in Missouri for example carry concealed without a permit here in Florida would be a felony to do.

They keep falling behind. The latest Brady rankings grades Florida 28th for gun laws. Missouri and Kansas were tied at 48 followed by Mississippi who is dead last at 50.

You're correct about FL being a moderate state basically split down the middle. Our Republicans here in FL are a lot more moderate than where I'm from, Missouri which they lean way to the right especially on abortions and guns. The MO governor recently called in a special session to address abortion laws and make them stricter.

I'm not super focused on gun laws one way or the other, I just prefer to keep abortion legal here and keep the 10 commandments out of the capitol building and schools. Those other states are way too religiously conservative for my, and many others, tastes. That's why many of us like FL. Keep the bible thumpers out

Up in Missouri, in Jefferson City they have a hall of "Famous Missourians" which is basically the hall of fame for famous Missourians.

Anyway, the liberals a couple years ago were all p*ssed off because Republicans decided to induct Limbaugh into the hall of fame.

So now when you go to the exhibit at the capital they have a bust of Rush Limbaugh on display.

North Florida is still bible belt in many areas though. Down here though it does not feel like that. To me Missouri has a much stronger bible belt feel to it. Even just 30 miles outside of St. Louis you see it. Joyce Meyers is from Missouri.

Those states I listed are all pretty rural states though. Even Missouri outside of the two major cities and Columbia are very rural. Even the medium sized cities up in MO would be considered very small cities by Floridian standards and rednecky like Cape Girardeau and Joplin.

FL is pretty urbanized now which I think dilutes the bible belt and southerness to it. Florida is also different because it wasn't a very populated state just 100 years ago. Heck during the civil war hardly anyone lived in the southern half of the state. Most of the people who started moving especially into the southern half of FL were from other states.

Hell, Florida only sent about 15,000 troops for the Confederacy. Missouri had about 60,000 Confederate soldiers. That's how sparsely populated FL was.
