Anyone bought new construction in FL from builder Taylor-Morisson? Would like to hear of your overall experience, construction quality, problems, solutions, etc. Thank you.

taylor Morrison was formed through an amalgamation of Taylor Woodrow and Morrison homes I belive

in the Uk Taylor wimpey was an amalgamation of taylor Woodrow and Wimpey homes

I had the misfortune of working for a company that was bought out by wimpey..

if there is the tiniest chance any of the wimpey ethic has seeped through here , avoid it like the plague

their mantra was 'lower the customers expectations then they wont be so disappointed'

shortly after the takeover we had a 'corporate visit' in which some suit kept referring to profit completions, me being the epitome of un corporatness asked what's a profit completion ? ..the reply was when a unit is sold to an individual... 'ah I replied you mean a customer !!!

we were a luxury home builder they bought to improve their profile, after visiting some of our developments one of their top executives was heard to utter 'I don't understand your business model'...they had just paid 290 million for us

if there is a connection.............run

We were under contract to buy 5-year old home build by TM, and it didn't pass the inspection. Then we saw a short sale house (few years old) and seller disclosed major issues which was the main reason he wasted to get rid of his house. It was too much for few year old house.
We went to check TM model and I was not impresed with the quality of their model (you would think they will do better job to attract people...)
What I heard from the realtor who claimed he used to work for TM as their onsite sales person, TM don't do Quality Control for most work done by their subcontractors. It might be local, or just the way for company to do their business...
